MS Ambassadors

Despite the increasing number of people diagnosed with MS, many lack valuable information about the disease and its effects. While people living with MS experience challenging symptoms and struggles, MS also impacts families, friends, co-workers, neighbors and caregivers. A basic understanding of MS and how it affects a person’s life can empower those living with the disease as well as those supporting them.

Our MS Ambassador program is designed to establish this understanding. Ambassadors are thoroughly trained by Chapter staff and serve as representatives of the National MS Society. Not only are they knowledgeable about the diagnosis of MS, as well as research and treatments, they can relate personal experiences and stories to those looking to learn more about MS. In addition to educating people about MS, they also inform groups about the programs and services the Chapter offers as well as ways to get more involved.

Ambassadors are available to present information about MS to civic groups, universities, healthcare facilities, volunteer organizations, health fairs, corporations and any other audience looking to learn more. If you know someone who needs to know more, please contact Amanda Douglass at 303-698-5443 or amanda.douglass@nmss.org to schedule a presentation with an MS Ambassador.
